Process
  • Evaluation and adjudication of RFP submissions.
  • Six submissions have been received. One submission was for the whole site whilst the other submissions were for part of the site (Plots 1, 2 and 5). The submission for the whole site was related to the oil and gas industry.
  • The Evaluation and Adjudication Committee (EAC) and two technical sub-committees have been constituted.  One Technical Sub-Committee was to examine the Financial aspect, whilst the other the maritime aspect.
  • The two sub-committees have finalised their reports and submitted them to the EAC.
  • The EAC finalised its report, taking into consideration the Technical Sub-Committees' findings and made its recommendations to Government.
  • The EAC has completed its final report and recommendations.
  • Negotiations are being held with the preferred Proponent.
  • An MOU has been signed between the prefered Proponent and Permanent Secretary MEIB on the 25th September 2015​

Current Status
  • A contract has been entered into by Government and the Successful Proponent.
